Why don't they put out books that are only in trade paperback size?
I used to work in a bookstore so I should know this, but why don't they put (at least really popular ones) books in mass market form: Example:Like "No Country for Old Men". I would buy it if it were in mass market size. I hate trade size. If I can't shove it in my back pocket, 99% of the time, I will not buy it. I know they say that people like that size better because they're easier to handle and read, but I think it's just about the money. Please tell I'm wrong.

Your question contradicts your other information. I believe you meant: why don't they put out books in pocketbook size? Trade paperback is more expensive and used mainly by 'good publishers,' but publishers who are actually outside the realm of big 'major publishers.'
I usually look for pocketbook and hardcopy myself. I get hardcopy when I want to keep that particular book for my personal library. I have quite a bit of James Patterson (for example) in the hardcopy. These of course are more expensive, but that's just my little quirk.
