The toughest fictional cop.... Is it Bullock (DC Comics) or McClane (Die Hard)?

IN one corner, in the stained Trenchcoat and hat, we have Harvey Bullock.... A tough cop who does what needs to be done in order to clean up the streets of Gotham City. He's not above a little dishonesty, a lot of boozing, donuts, and using his alleged mob ties to take down psychotic killers.

In the other corner, wearing a wife beater and missplacing his shoes, is John McClane. A hard as nails cop from New York City who tends to attract madmen and massive collateral damage where ever he goes. He'll get bloody, violent and verbally abusive in order to stop terrorists out to ruin his Christmas.

Tell me what you think! And give some reasons!
Ummm... not that i don't like different opinions but the question is limited to these two canidates.....

McClane, he might not have to deal with as over the top villians, but I think fighting people with machine guns and explosives when all you have is a hand gun and smarts is enough. He single handidly took down a whole group of terrorists in one night. When has Bullock done anything close. He might have mob ties, but that doesn't make him tough, it just means he has backup.
