Is a back issue comic worth more than a regular comic?
When i go to a comic store are the ones they have on shelf(recent issues) worth more or are the back issue comics worth more?Which ones are better to buy if you are collecting to sell in the future?
Yes they tend to be some back issues anyway
the problem with comic books is now everyone keeps them nice and taken care off. Back issues tend to be worth more because they weren't being collected as they are today having said that. so many back issues are so heavily owed that the comic store doesn't sell them and must bring down the price. older comics which are popular and might sell and stay high like old issues of uncanny x-men. so back issues older than 1979 are gonna be worth more than your new ones and even that can depend on the comic
Tips-
When i Go to a comic store. I first always hit the 25 cent bins you never know when a store will give up trying to sell an issue and it's yours for only a quarter. and comics are getting more expensive to make and therefor are worth more only because they cost more to make and not because the value is better.
Go to old book stores and most times they don't know the worth of your comic book and you can pick up filler issues as well to get yourself an entire run of comics
Investing into comics the cheap way is the quickest way to produce a value because you pay little and can get gems here and there for pennies and then make them more valuable by buying the issues that you can sell the entire set with.
Marvel is a good bet for buying a run
Image buy only #1-5 there issues tank quickly and the artist don't stay on long.
Top Cow or any Image pubs. Really are tested as far as longer values i don't have faith in issues past 1-10 maybe
